The Viktoria, and especially Pedion Areos, is a well-known working-class neighborhood that has been experiencing gentrification for several years. This transformation has made it more trendy, altering both the demographic of its residents and the types of businesses in the area. This process is well underway, leading to the coexistence of diverse and sometimes conflicting dynamics: the older, modest reality-supported by social assistance centers for these groups-alongside newer, more cosmopolitan trends, largely driven by tourism, which are steadily gaining ground.
