Nature is the heroine of this Mallorcan family house, located on the slope of the Puig de la Virgen de Bonany.
The views of the Puig are of great beauty.
The estate has an efficient road network; two km from the municipality of Petra,
located in the interior of the island of Mallorca; its location facilitates routes to
different enclaves.
The beaches of Son Serra de Marina (virgin beach) and Alcudia Bay are about
twenty minutes away.
Only 43 kilometres from the city of Palma and the airport.
The estate has a wide field extension, metres of freedom in a natural environment. A small forest of pine trees, holm oaks, olive trees, wild olive trees, carob trees... invite the traveller to the desire to breathe pure air, authentic experiences of emotional value, an atmosphere and a place to disconnect from daily stress, rest and allow remote work if desired. Internet connection of 35 megabytes.
Consistent with sustainability values, solar panels supply the
electricity.
This refuge offers enjoyment without renouncing urban standards, just a few kilometres from Manacor supermarkets, large surfaces, and also restaurants and other services in the surrounding villages.
During the months of sunshine, from March to October inclusive, the well water pond on the estate and without chemicals contributes to well-being, and its furnished terraces are a great complement.
Fans reduce the temperature. Nothing like a good dip! Or a shower outside.
In winter, thermal comfort is provided by heating with hot water radiators and it has a wood stove. Firewood Included.
The oven and barbecue provide very interesting culinary possibilities. Petra, birthplace of Fray Junípero Serra, has several monumental buildings to visit. Its old town is declared a Cultural Heritage Site.
The Church of San Pedro, the Convent of San Bernardino and the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Bonany are some of the most significant points of the municipality.
Its two interconnected squares have great charm, with cafés and

Surrounded by countryside and nature, this estate is a 20-minute drive from Can Picafort and Son Serra de Marina in the north. Every Wednesday, the traditional market is held in Sineu, which is at the same time the oldest on the island. The estate is located at the foot of Puig de Bonany, which with a height of just over 310 metres, is a wonderful viewpoint. In a 5-minute drive, you reach the authentic town of Petra, with a small supermarket, bars and some shops. In the square, you can have some good Pa amb Olis for a snack. In Manacor there are large supermarkets, more restaurants and services.
The natural swimming pool (pond) of 7 x 4.5 metres and a depth of 1.3 to 2.3 metres is cleaned naturally, without chemicals or salt, but water maintenance works through oxygen. The pool has an access staircase. The large terrace has many corners to relax, either sunbathing in one of the hammocks or celebrating great evenings with family and friends. On Wednesday you can buy fresh products at the Petra market and have a delicious barbecue.
Inside, the two-storey house presents a rustic and charming style. The bright living-dining room with a wood-burning stove and Astra television invites you to spend a quiet afternoon. Chefs will enjoy trying new recipes in the kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, cooking utensils; among other things.
On the ground floor, there is a bedroom with a double bed as well as a bathroom with bathtub and hairdryer. The stairs lead to the first floor, where the second bedroom with a double bed is located. The house has central heating for winter, a washing machine, cot and high chair. The little ones in the family will find a mini-kitchen, blackboard and some toys - they will surely have a great time!
To be taken into account:
The natural swimming pool (pond), surrounded by a small forest, is only available from 15 May to 31 October. The owners take very good care of the pond; however, leaves can fall from the surrounding trees and it has a net to remove such leaves.
In the Balearic Islands, there is a tourist tax called Ecotasa, which must be paid for each guest aged 16 and over. The amount is 2.2 EUR per night and person in high season and 0.55 EUR per night and person in low season. From the ninth night onwards, this amount is reduced by half. The Ecotasa will be charged before arrival through a Visa / MasterCard with a secure payment link. This payment is mandatory.
Important: as required by law, we must request copies of the ID cards or passports of all guests over 16 years old. This information is sent by email.
Heating supplement: 1 Eur / litre of diesel (optional)

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr "einsam", das wollten wir genau so. Die Unterkunft ist insgesamt sehr funktional, sicherlich nicht spektakulär. Das Gebäude war ordnungsgemäß gereinigt (ein paar Spinnweben gab es aber), der Garten und der angrenzende Waldteil wirken an einigen Stellen etwas unaufgeräumt. Das ganze Anwesen scheint autark zu sein, Wasser kommt aus einem Brunnen, Strom wird über die Solaranlage gewonnen. Besonders beeindruckt hat die Ausstattung der Küche, da war fast alles da (wenngleich ein Schneidebrett und ein Tablett sicherlich hilfreich gewesen wären). Die Betten waren bequem und ausreichend Handtücher wurden zur Verfügung gestellt. Die vorhandene Spülmaschine und die Waschmaschine taten ihren Dienst. Super ist auch die Terrassenüberdachung, die den ganzen Tag über Schatten spendet. Auch gibt es genügend Sitzmöglichkeiten zum Essen. Allerdings waren am Pool für 4 Personen nur 3 Liegen vorhanden (auch gab es keine Beistelltischchen). Der Pool selbst ist als Naturwasserpool sehr angenehm, durch die Abdeckung bleibt das Wasser auch temperaturmäßig "frisch". Man muss akzeptieren, dass das Wasser nicht immer so "klar" ist und auch das ein oder andere Tierchen darin lebt. Auch springt bei jeder Wassernutzung eine Pumpe an, an deren Geräusch man sich erst gewöhnen muss. Ein großer Grillplatz ist vorhanden. Für ein technisches Problem waren sowohl YourHouse, als auch die Vermieter schnell und hilfsbereit (wenn auch keine endgültige Lösung gefunden werden konnte).

Das Haus könnte etwas gründlicher von Spinnweben an den Decken gereinigt werden. Für die Optimierung der Küchenausstattung wären ein Schneidebrett und ein Tablett hilfreich. Für den Pool könnte eine vierte Liege angeschafft werden und kleine Beistellsee more

Für den Pool könnte eine vierte Liege angeschafft werden und kleine Beistelltischchen wären super. Das Problem mit dem Heizkörper im Obergeschoß, der nachts "volle Pulle" läuft, muss gelöst werden, da das obere Zimmer sowieso tagsüber schon deutlich wärmer ist.
